Yamamato 1 - Matt
In our author's stories of Techgnosis and The Stories of Ibis we are schooled in the ways of man's relationship with technology. Particularly in Ibis we see beyond what man knows today, a hypothesis of the future. While Davis focuses more on the present and past to actualize his argument. What came to mind first was HBO's series West World. The new series shows the turning point between man and machine, specifically AI robots that look identical to humans. This series could be a physical representation of Davis's theories and Yamamato's hypothesis, in which the robots realize they are gods compared to humans who were once considered gods themselves by the robots.
Another media representation that comes to mind would be Marvel's superhero Vision. A combination of Jarvis and Ultron, two separates AI in the Marvel universe. In tandem with the mind stone, a source of power with the greatest of magnitudes that was once the original source of life in the universe when combined with the other 5 infinity stones.
Thirdly, Disney's animated movie WALL-E comes to mind after reading these texts. The movie is about the last working robot left on Earth that discovers love. Transcending traditional robot values and personalities. WHich are aspects discussed in both texts so far from Dais and Yamamato.
