Evolution of Technology (Louis Barry)
Digitalization has made everything very linear. But has it made it to linear? How HTML was made to help make websites, in a simplified way. but then Youtube rolled around, it made the linearity more open. For example, in the video "An anthropological introduction to Youtube" the video of the man dancing to Numa Numa, little does he knows that he was making connections with a "billion boxes" or people around the world. The pace of technological change in the time has had a sad remnant of what we will see throughout the following 15 to 20 years. This next influx of progress will in a general sense reshape the majority of our professions. Artificial intelligence, 3D printing, asset proficient economical production and mechanical autonomy will factor into the ways we at present make, oversee and patch items and convey administrations. The last two can possibly make occupations in the structural and designing parts, following appeal for cutting-edge computerized creation frameworks. As Erik Davis puts it "this industrial image of technology the 'myth of the machine'"(Davis 3). These troublesome plans of action will fundamentally reshape how we work together, both independently and as organizations. Fundamentally, these extremely innovations may enable us to open the answers for a portion of the greatest societal difficulties we at present ponder. What will be completely conclusive is the manner by which we prepare our kids, our understudies and our partners to saddle the energy of this innovation to change our reality to improve things. It implies providing incentives for lifelong learning as the pace of technological progression advances. In Erik Davis book, TechGnosis, he hints that "it's easy to lose one's way in the maze of ... the information age"(Davis 8). I agree with this statement because in our era we are so immersed in technology, that we feeling part of the binary that makes it up. Finally, we should utilize each apparatus inside our arsenal to guarantee the present and future ages are not deserted in the worldwide computerized aptitudes race.

DeleteDavis in each of his videos talks about technological innovation in regards to linearity. Taking HTML script and changing it to exceed its original form of text. The main example being the Numa Numa viral sensation bringing millions of people together across the globe. Davis also talks about how the interconnectedness can hurt, hitting close to home he talks about how college students don't pay attention in class because of the distraction now required in most class which are computers. Although, with the increasing using of new media I believe there has become more importance on your presence online whether it be appearance or just time spent online absorbing information (loose definition). I think this technology will ultimately control our lives either taking the red pill or the blue pill and seeing how far the rabbit hole really goes.
